Geocache Description:

Introducing the Post Office (PO) Box Series to West Tennessee. The concept behind this cache was originally developed by Maryland cacher - mdsurveyor. The first cache of this type was placed in BelAir, MD (GC1BF0T). PO Caches can now be found in more than 8 states.

To find the container you must first visit the Atoka Post Office (which is located at the posted coordinates). NOTE: The final stage is located just a short drive from the post office. It is NOT hidden in or next to the building.

Once inside, you will see the customary post office boxes lining the walls. There are several sections or banks of boxes, each separated from the other by black trim. Each bank of boxes forms a grid-like pattern.

To determine the coordinates for the final stage, use the GRID, ROW, COLUMN formula below:

N 35° 26.[(G121:R1:C4)+ (G121:R4:C1) + (G121:R1:C5)]

W089° 47.[(G61:R1:C5) + (G61:R5:C4) + (G61:R4:C3) + 110]

Where the GRID (G) is identified by the number of the UPPER LEFTHAND CORNER box of a bank of boxes; ROW (R) is determined by counting down from top to bottom, starting at the TOP of that grid; and, COLUMN (C) is determined by counting from left to right, starting from the LEFT side of that grid.

If you have done the math correctly, each formula with provide the last 3-digits of the coordinates.

The post office is accessible 24/7. The final stage is also, which should be a simple park-and-grab. You will need to bring your own pen to sign the log. A "highly desirable" geocaching pin awaits the FTF.
