275 bike hike 002 Traditional Cache

rhirice: Went out for a ride on the 275 Bike/Hike trail and thanks to Wayne County, I have to Archive this Cache. They decided to put up a short fence here, for some unknown reason, and they moved the hollow tree that my cache was in. Cound not find it so all Trackables are lost.

Geocache Description:

A pick up along the 275 bike hike trail.

This is one of the caches hidden along the 275 bike hike trail.
The 275 Bike Hike trail runs along side of I-275 in Michigan starting in Northville going south 40+ miles to Frenchtown Twp. The trail is in the process of being completely re-surfaced, was built in 1970's during the energy crisis to help with everyday commute. Along the way watch for Deer, Raccoon, Hawks, Ducks, Blue Herons and the occasional Bald Eagle that flies over from Crosswinds Marsh. In the spring, watch for the endangered White Trilliuns flowering in the woods.
