4 1/2 Mile Bridge Traditional Cache
Paul_D_K: The trail is still closed by last years fire damage and there’s no telling when it will reopen. Maybe next year, maybe longer. Time to let this one go.

Small camo four latch container that you don’t even have to leave the trail to get.
4 1/2 Mile Bridge is the last bridge on the Eagle Creek trail before you enter the wilderness. If you continue on, the next time you have to cross Eagle Creek you’ll have to build your own bridge or maybe go wading. I hid a cache up here back in 2009, but never submitted it. So today I made the hike up there to see if it was still there, sadly it was not. But not to worry as I brought another container with me. This time I hope that I hid it better. This is a very popular trail so I decided to make it easy to grab and best of all you don’t have to leave the trail to get it. 4 1/2 Mile Bridge is a nice resting place so you’ll be able to grab the cache, sign the cache, and put it back in between muggles.
A word of warning about GPSr in this area, the signal is horrible, you can’t trust it to be accurate, so look to the hint for an easy find. Also note that there is a $5.00 parking fee at the trailhead, unless you have a Northwest Forest Pass.
