This is another stop on our tour of rural historic cemeteries in the Black Hills area. It is a very small cemetery south of Hot Springs, SD in Fall River County. There are approximately 70 graves here, with the earliest on record of 1885. There are also several graves with unknown dates.
To get to the cache, turn westbound on County Hwy 71D off Hwy 71, toward the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary. The cemetery is on the north side of the road.
You do not have to enter the cemetery grounds to find the cache. If a service is in progress, or if there is someone here maintaining a grave site, please come back at a later time. If you do chose to visit the cemetery, please pay due respect and do not disturb any of the markers or headstones. Follow any and all posted cemetery regulations. Most importantly, do NOT look for this cache after dark.
You are looking for a small camo'd bison tube. You will want to use caution, as there is a barbed fence near the cache. Bring your own writing stick as there isn't one in the cache. Please return the cache exactly as found.
As with all of our caches, enjoy the area, be safe and have fun.
