Geocache Description:

This cache is nestled near the top of a knob, overlooking the Missoula Valley, just below the base of the old ski area Marshall Mountain. I use to ski at Marshall as a kid and love this area. The area has great roads for walking dogs, is kid accessible, and has some pretty good views to boot.

This cache however is not very kid accessible, although older kids may like it. It is uphill the whole way from the parking area, approx 2 miles if you take the roads or just under a mile as the crow flies, and the last half mile has some pretty steep spots if you take the shortcuts.

If I remember correctly, Marshall use to run a night skiing fundraiser called "Marshall Madness" to see which team could ski the most runs in a four hour period. Hiking to this cache made my legs feel like they did during those fundraisers, therefore I named the cache "Marshall Madness". Hope everyone enjoys it!

You are looking for an orange, waterproof match container. Nothing bigger than a mighty bean can fit into the container. Don't forget to bring a writing stick.
