Geocache Description:

Welcome to one of many of California’s Coast Live Oaks. Some of these trees may get as old as 250 years and reach up to 25 meters in height. Normally oaks are found on well drained soils of coastal hills and plains. Most of the roots responsible for the uptake of water and minerals are concentrated within 12 inches of the surface. On average, a mature Oak tree will transpire (or breath) about 413 liters per day!!!
Caution: This area area is prone to poison oak. None seen when cache placed, but always keep a watchful eye.
