The Mayan civilization, which reached its height from 300 A.D.to 900 A.D., had a talent for astronomy. Advanced mathematics and primitive astronomy flourished, creating what many have called the most accurate calendar in the world.
The Mayans have predicted a final event that includes massive
solar flares, a Venus transit and violent earthquakes.Their Long Count calendar begins in 3,114 B.C., marking time in roughly 394-year periods known as Baktuns. Thirteen was a significant, sacred number for the Mayas, and they wrote that the 13th Baktun ends on Dec. 21, 2012. This is (maybe) the end of days.
I suspect that with the earthquakes and solar flares the terrain may be difficult, perhaps very difficult. A 4x4 may be necessary.
I am also concerned that the diner may be on fire, with looting and with civil unrest so the difficulty in even finding it in the rubble could make it 5 stars.
I suggest taking the day off. (Tell your boss now.) We need to meet and plan out some sort of new coordinate system since the satellites will surely have crashed into earth's major cities at this point.
Realistically even a park and grab becomes a 5-5 today.
If by some chance you are able to make it, lets meet for eggs and bacon at 9:00am. (Assuming that the disasters don't begin until 10)
I will reveal the final coordinates to every puzzle I have placed,and offer hints galore on every puzzle I have found so far. Why not? I don't expect that the other COs will care much at this point.
Afterwards you may consider heading to church, or temple.......or Watchung Reservation (there are a lot of good caches there)
