Anamori Inari Shrine
The Shinto shrine coled 'Anamori Inari' which was removed and
rebuilt by Haneda Airport.
The meaning of the 'Ana' is a hole. The meaning of the 'mori' is
protect. It is a Shinto shrine to protect a hole.
Before Haneda Airport was built, the area around Haneda was known
as a fishing village. The Anamori Inari Shrine was built in 1818 in
order to protect the people of Haneda from floods. Since its
establishment, the shrine was popularly known for the god of good
crops and prosperous business, and drew worshippers from all over
Japan even today. The Keihin Electric Express Railway connecting
Haneda and Shinagawa was initially built exclusively as a train to
transport worshippers to the shrine and this speaks of the great
popularity that this shrine had among the people during those
times. The area around Haneda was originally a temple town for the
Anamori Inari Shrine.
Before the war, the shrine sat inside today's Haneda Airport. But,
with the ending of the war and the eviction of residents in
neighboring areas, the shrine too was transferred to it present
location. However, the great shrine gates of Anamori Inari Shrine
were not removed and remained for a long while in front of the
passenger terminal building. Although there were several proposals
over the years to take down the shrine, a series of mysterious
accidents fell upon those involved in the construction and the
shrine escaped the threats of tear down thanks to those in fear of
the "curse." However, the shrine gate was finally transferred to
the estuary of the Tama River and Ebitori River in 1999 when the
new runways were built. If you take a walk to the edge of Haneda
Airport today, you will see the great shrine gates still watching
over the entire area.
Here is a legend called "the sand of the Anamori".
Once upon a time an old man went for
fishing and caught a fish and put it in a fish basket. However,
there was only wet sand when he looked at the inside later. The day
after next was a big catch but turned into wet sand in the basket
later, too. The old man told this to villagers. Villagers thought
this to be the result of the fox which lived in the Shinto shrine.
And they caught one fox. However , the old man permitted a fox and
released it. Thereafter, when an old man went for fishing, it
became the big catch by all means. Many fish and few wet sand stay
to the basket. The old man took sand home with him and sprinkled it
on the garden of the house. Then a visitor came to come without a
break. And the old man got wealth.
Since this, this Shinto shrine distributes sand as sand causing
happiness. You can get this free. A lot of toriis of the east side
of the precincts please advance to depth. You can take sand in the
paper sack (put it in a paper sack by oneself) from the small door
of Back building. Please sprinkle the sand which you took home with
you on the place with your house. It is said that there is various
kinds of fortune by a place to sprinkle sand on.

- New construction, enlargement of a building and renovation.

穴守稲荷神社(あなもりいなりじんじゃ)は、東京都大田区にある稲荷神社です。
文化元年(1804年)の新田開墾(現在の羽田空港内)の折り、海が荒れてしばしば波風の被害を受けていました。あるとき、沿岸の堤防に大穴が空いて海水が流れ込み、村々は甚大な被害を受けました。そこで村民が堤防の上に祠を勧請し、稲荷大神を祀ると、海が静まって五穀豊穣をもたらしました。これが穴守稲荷神社の起こりとされています。穴守という名の由来は、「風浪が作りし穴の害より田畑を守り給う稲荷大神」という神徳にちなんでいます。神社の場所は現在の羽田空港内でした。
穴守稲荷神社は穴守稲荷神社は明治、大正、昭和を通して人々の信仰を集め多くの人々の信仰を集めてきました。「穴」というワードから、花柳界や賭け事といった、いわば俗的な分野での御利益も支持されていたようで、その参道も料亭や旅館で華やいだ雰囲気だったといいます。
穴守稲荷の隣に昭和6年(1931年)夏、正式に飛行場が開場しました。後の東京国際空港(羽田空港)のはじまりです。第二次世界大戦が終わった直後の昭和20年(1945年)9月21日、羽田空港の拡張のため、米軍(進駐軍)より、接収と称して羽田三町の住民3000人が48時間以内の退去を命じられ、強制退去を迫られました。穴守稲荷神社もその対象でした。これに対して地元の有志らは移転先となる現在の鎮座地700坪を寄進し、移築されたのです。
しかし、大鳥居だけは撤去されず、長らく旅客ターミナルビル前面(駐車場付近)残されていました。何度か取り壊しや移転案も出たのですが、その度に工事関係者の事故が相次ぎ、祟りを恐れてか撤去出来ずにいたそうです。ですが、平成11年(1999年)の羽田空港新滑走路整備時、多摩川と海老取川の河口に移されました。この鳥居の場所には「Strange

穴守稲荷神社には神砂(あなもりの砂)という言い伝えがあります。
神砂（あなもりの砂）の由来
老人が漁に出て魚を釣り上げて魚篭に入れたが、中を見ると湿った砂があるだけだった。翌日も翌々日も大漁となるも、篭をみるとやはり湿った砂があるばかりであった。老人はいぶかしく思い、村人たちにこのことを話すと、村人たちはこれを狐の仕業として稲荷神社を取り囲み、一匹の狐を捕まえる。しかし、老人は狐を許してそれを解き放った。それ以降、老人が漁にでると必ず大漁となり、篭には多くの魚とわずかばかりの湿った砂が残るようになった。老人が砂を持ち帰って家の庭にまいたところ、客が途切れることなく訪れるようになり、老人は富を得た。
ということで、境内には「奥之宮(お穴様)」があります。現在、そのお宮は社殿東側にあり、多数の鳥居が奉納されています。この奥之宮の砂を持ち帰り、それぞれの場所に撒くことによって営業繁盛家内安全、病気平穏等いろいろなご利益があると言われ、招福の砂と言われているそうです。（無料です、持ち帰り用の紙袋ももらうことができます）
撒き方
「奥之宮と神砂」（あなもりの砂）は以下のような撒き方をするとよいそうです。

商・工・農・漁業・家内安全の招福→玄関入口へ。

病気平癒の場合→床の下へ。

災・厄・禍除降の場合→その方向へ。

新築・増改築→敷地の中心へ。
