A viagem medieval é uma recriação histórica da idade média onde toda a cidade se transforma para acolher o evento. Decorre no centro da cidade, desde o Castelo até ao Rossio.
Algumas áreas temáticas:
ARAUTOS CELESTES
'As primeiras referências aos conhecimentos astronómicos em Portugal datam do início do séc. XIV, que incluem tábuas astronómicas relativas às posições do Sol e dos planetas no zodíaco em todos os dias do ano, previsão de eclipses, localização de estrelas e outras informações que deram o mote às políticas de navegação e de expansão ultramarina portuguesas.'
FLORESTA ENCANTADA
Na Viagem Medieval de 2008, Zabaru, o grande Feiticeiro da Floresta Encantada, foi mais uma vez enganado. A sua noiva, Zilda, fugiu com o Ouro Negro que ele e o seu ajudante, Zoil, tinham conseguido fabricar com a ajuda preciosa do público.
Mais grave ainda, não só perdeu a sua noiva, mas Zoil, também desapareceu! Correm rumores que conseguiu encontrar Zilda e convencê-la a partilhar consigo o ouro negro (… e não só!).
E eis que a crise chega à Floresta... sem a magia de Zoil e Zabaru, é preciso encontrar quem o substitua e não faltam candidatos ao lugar de ajudante...
JUSTAS
As justas, muitas vezes inseridas em festas de santos populares, são realizadas num terreiro delimitado por vedações com palanques e tribunas, onde tomam assento os espectadores.
As justas recriam um combate entre dois cavaleiros armados de espada ou de lança, tentando derrubar o seu adversário, sendo muito perigoso e por vezes até mortal para os participantes, degenerando em autênticas batalhas.
TORNEIO MEDIEVAL
A nobreza medieval constituí um corpo de oficiais, sempre atento à defesa colectiva e em tempo de paz, organizam-se em torneios, participando um grande número de cavaleiros que mostram a sua robustez física e a destreza no manejo das armas.
O Grande Torneio recria este desporto popular, em que cada cavaleiro armado de lança ou espada, se concentra na carreira e vai ao encontro do seu adversário, tentando defender a honra e o bom nome de sua Casa.

The trip is a medieval historical recreation of the Middle Ages where the whole town turns to host the event. It follows from the city center, from the Castle to the Rossio.

CELESTIAL HERALDS
'The first references to astronomical knowledge in Portugal date back to the beginning of the century. XIV, including astronomical tables for the positions of the Sun and planets in the zodiac every day of the year, predicting eclipses, tracking stars and other information that have the motto policies navigation and Portuguese overseas expansion. '
ENCHANTED FOREST
Medieval Travel in 2008, Zabaru, the great Wizard of the Enchanted Forest, was once again mistaken. His bride, Zilda, fled with the black gold that he and his assistant, Zoila, had managed to make the valuable help of the public.
More seriously, not only lost his fiancée, but Zoila also disappeared! It is rumored he could find Zilda and convince her to share with the black gold (... and not only!).
And behold, the crisis comes to the Forest ... without the magic of Zoila and Zabaru, one must find his substitute and no shortage of candidates for the post of assistant ...
FAIR
The fair, often embedded in popular feasts of saints, are held in a yard enclosed by fences with stands and grandstands where spectators take seats.
The just recreate a battle between two horsemen armed with sword or spear, trying to knock your opponent is very dangerous and sometimes deadly to the participants, degenerating into authentic battles.
MEDIEVAL TOURNAMENT
The medieval nobility constitute a body of officers, always attentive to collective defense and peace time, they organize tournaments, participating in a large number of riders who show their physical strength and dexterity in handling weapons.
The Grand Tournament recreates this popular sport, in which each rider armed with a spear or sword, focuses on career and goes to meet his opponent, trying to defend the honor and good name of their house.
