History:
On 15 December 1941, 419 Bomber Squadron formed at Mildenhall, England. They remained in England until they were disbanded on 5 September 1945. On 15 March 1955, 419 All-Weather Fighter Squadron reformed at RCAF Station North Bay and moved to 4 Wing Baden-Soellingen shortly thereafter. They were disbanded at Baden on 31 December 1962. On 2 May 1975, 419 Tactical Fighter Training Squadron stood up at CFB Cold Lake and flew the CF-5 there until they were disbanded on 25 June 1995. No. 419 squadron has been re-formed as a fighter lead-in training squadron at CFB Cold Lake flying the CT-155 Hawk as part of the NATO Flying Training Program.
