Power lines are ugly, but they can also clear the way for beautiful vistas! Let's take advantage.
This cache location really gives you one of those "top of the world" feelings. The view to the north along the power lines is fairly expansive. You can also stroll over towards the west where the quarry has cleared the way for yet another expansive view.
A good approach would be to park at the Hugh Force Park on W. Central Ave. and walk along the canal tow path until you get to the canal lock and the power lines. It's all up from there!
If you are also looking for the Iron on Irondale Cache, there is a trail that follows the top of the ridge and gets somewhat near the cache.
