Kleine Einführung
Die ältesten Gesteine sind 3,75 Milliarden Jahre alt, die auf der Erde bekannt sind.
Vor ca. 200-135 Mio. Jahren war die Gegend um Balingen vom subtropischen Jura-Meer bedeckt.
Die ganze Bandbreite des Jura kann während der Wanderung auf dem GeoWanderweg entdeckt werden.
Die Stationen führen hinauf zur Albhochfläche, dabei werden Aufschlüsse im Braunen Jura und in Weißen Jura berührt.
Diese Geologische Besonderheit steht hier im Mittelpunkt des geologischen Wanderwegs. Das Erlebnis Geologie, die bewusste Wahrnehmung ihrer Erkenntnisse und die Auswirkung auf den Menschen steht im Vordergrund. Die allgegenwärtigen Gesteinsschichten sind nur selten sichtbar aber schließlich will man doch wissen worauf man steht.

The oldest rocks are 3.75 billion years old, that are known on Earth.
Approximately 200-135 million years ago the area around Balingen from subtropical Jurassic sea was covered.
The full spectrum of law can be discovered during the walk on the GeoWanderweg.
The stations lead up to the Swabian Alb, it will be clues in the Brown and White Jura Jura touches.
This geological feature is at the center of the geological trail. The experience of geology, the conscious perception of their findings and the impact is on people in the foreground. The ubiquitous rock layers are rarely visible, but eventually you want to know what it is.
