Geocache Description:

Originally, I planned a multicache for this location, but changed my mind after seeing the trail work that has been going on here. These folks are really doing a great job.

The trail head is at the following coordinates. Plenty of parking nearby.
N 37.29795
W 86.21333

As I said, the trail is being completely rebuilt and new trails added and lengthened. The trails are very well marked with surveyors tape or flags. Use the trails until you get into close proximity to the cache. The State Park System rules require that hikers and bikers use the trails, so please do. The sign at the trail head tells you that it is 1.6 miles to he waterfall. After hiking the new trail, the state needs to purchase new signs, it's 2 plus miles one way. The trails are 90% redone to the cache site. The reaming 10% is clearly and well marked with surveyors tape and flags, please stick to the trails. More trails are planned and some have been started. Volunteers are always being sought. Contact the Nolin Lake Army Corp of Engineers to volunteer or talk to one of the State Park employees for more information.

The walk isn't hard, but you aren't going to do it in a short period of time. Enjoy the walk, the scenery, the wildlife, and all things nature has to offer. As you walk the trails and look around, think about what things were like here before the lake. As you travel along, you should see an old wagon road that was used many years ago, but is nearly hidden by mother nature today. There were farms and families all around the river that is now Nolin Lake and if you look closely you may see evidence of their passing.

The cache is a camo painted large peanut butter jar with tradeables.

Safe caching and enjoy.
