"Absence diminishes small loves and increases great ones, as the wind blows out the candle and fans the bonfire." ~François Duc de La Rochefoucauld

Cache is large enough for small trades, coins, etc., but please bring your own writing implement. As always, please replace the cache exactly as found!

During my Rutgers Forestry Field Camp class of May 1996, my friends and I would occasionally have a free night and head out to build a huge bonfire on this hill, sit back, laugh, and enjoy life in general. The blaze was visible all the way up to the mansion and the "winter quarters" bunkrooms where we slept. The image of those flames dancing in the darkness was pure enchantment and one of my fondest college memories.

The Lusscroft Farm trail network is over 5 miles long, and winds through grassland, hardwood forest, and wetland habitats. There are trails for all hikers, from beginner to advanced. Lusscroft Farm has a significant agricultural history, unique geologic features, was the Beemerville 4-H Youth Camp from 1971-1996, and hosts year-round educational activities such as Maple "Sugar'n," nature walks, and equine trail rides.
