Geocache Description:

Another cache at Mount Waniassa where the kangaroos often commune

There are several approaches to this cache. You could park in the Sparkes Close cul-de-sac where there's a path up to the Fadden Fire Trail. You could also park on the side of Erindale Drive near the Sulwood Drive round about - but be careful of traffic where you park.

If you use the Fadden Hills approach, the area around Mount Waniassa and Fadden Hills is frequented by locals in the early morning and late afternoon. A paved path around Fadden Hills leads you to past a gate that you can climb through, and the dirt track branches several ways taking you up Mount Waniassa and other picturesque ways.

From the gate, you'll still need to walk several minutes to get to the cache, leaving the path to walk cross-country. The terrain isn't too rough, but at various times of year, the brush will contain burrs. If its been recently raining, be prepared to get a little damp. If its snake season, take a little extra care.

I started coming here during school holidays when I was younger and playing in the bush with my friends. I've been wanting to hide a cache for a while, and this area seemed to be a good place.
