Geocache Description:

The cache is a cylindrical plastic container. Please bring your own writing instrument for the log. Also inside: a laminated photograph of very popular image from the battle of Gettysburg showing three confederate prisoners with a description on the back. Also: Lead projectiles (2) in the same shape as bullets from the American Civil War. The projectiles are NON-firing, NON-hazardous. Please leave these items in the cache for all to view upon finding the cache.

This Geocache is in honor of the soldiers who fought in the American Civil War, 1862-1865. The picture on the front of this card is of three confederate prisoners from the Battle of Gettysburg in July 1863.

It is also in honor of the Live Fire competition that takes place every year here just beyond this fence. Live Fire is a shooting competition that takes place every January and uses reproduction military weapons from the American Civil War. Participants in the Live Fire competition compete in timed and attrition based shooting scenarios. For more information, please see: FB: (visit link)

Please leave the picture and projectiles in the geocache.
