This is a Leap Day/366 Flash Photo Event at the St. Johns Town Center on February 29th at 6:30 PM in the plaza near the fire bowl and chess game at the south end of the town center.
We are going to be commemorating “Leap Day” and the filling in of the “366th” day that we can only cache on once every four years. Being a weekday, this will only be a 15 minute gathering. According to Groundspeak, everyone who logs a “Found it” or “Attended” this February 29 will receive the Leap Day Souvenir on their profile. What a fun way to get that souvenir!
Schedule
6:30 PM Meet and Greet: To commemorate this day, we will nonchalantly gather at the posted coordinates. Bring your pathtag or geocaching name on a small piece of paper to drop in the container when you arrive to serve as the event log. The log box will also be used for the drawing for door prizes. Everyone gets to enter the drawing, even if you share the same caching name.
6:35 PM – Group Photo: Come dressed with your favorite geocaching T-shirt under your sweater or jacket only to be revealed at 6:35 pm sharp for the photo shoot.
6:40 PM – Door Prizes: There will be a drawing from the log box for door prizes.
6:45 PM – Dispersal: A micro snack will be given out and we will disperse to shop, eat dinner, or play a giant game of chess on the plaza.
Please note that while we are free to have our group photo session, the Town Center management does not condone seeking caches on the Town Center property.
