"Honest Abe" is our second annual President's Day Cache (Dubya was the first). This cache is in the heart of the Desert Wildlife Refuge. To reach the cache area requires an SUV or similar vehicle (Street Legal), with good tires and the appropriate equitment and supplies for desert travel. It is a beautiful drive and an area seldom visited. Plan on an all day trip. The cache is a yellow ammo box, with some nice items in it.
The original Honest Abe cache was stolen, I have replaced it. I move it to a different location, in the same area, but in a place where it is less likely to be discovered by a non geocacher. Sorry it took so long to get Honest Abe back in commission. It was beautifull up there today, we were in the middle of a snow storm. Really enjoyed the winter scenery.
