4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

Just off the 4wd track between Pt Turton and Hardwicke Bay.

There is a 4wd only track that takes you from the Eastern end of Point Turton down onto the sandy beach and then it's a magnificent drive all the way around the beach to Hardwicke bay. I wont tell you that I once did the beach drive in my Falcon wagon, with no problems (after entering from Flahrty's Beach), just incase you try it yourself and end up getting bogged out there.

Anyway, the cashe is just off the 4wd track, a short drive down from the sealed road. It's only a short walk from the road, but if you do want to drive in the use of a 4wd is recommended, but not essential.

The cashe is under a tree/bush, facing out to sea, infront of what was the old Savio campsite.

And if you do get the chance, it's a magnificent drive around the beach to Hardwicke bay. You may even find another cache there (Tragedy At Hardwicke Bay).
