Geocache Description:

The cache is a small camoed tube near the Saint's Roost Museum.

The Saints' Roost Museum in Clarendon is housed in the former Adair Hospital, which was built in 1910 by Cornelia Adair for use by the cowboys of the JA Ranch. For over 20 years, the Museum has been the caretaker of this historic building and has used it to preserve the heritage and artifacts of Donley County and the Texas Panhandle. Exhibits focus on local culture, including Native American artifacts and relics of pioneer life. Attention is also given to the lives of JA Ranch co-founder and local philanthropist Cornelia Adair, legendary Panhandle cattleman Col. Charles Goodnight, and noted Western artist Harold D. Bugbee, one of Clarendon's most famous sons. Other noteworthy exhibits pertain to the Texas Panhandle's First Newspaper - The Clarendon News; the Red River Wars; World War II uniforms; art selections from Olive Vandruff Bugbee, Kenneth Wyatt, and others; and many other interesting topics. An impressive set of miniature trains are displayed in the 1887 Ft. Worth & Denver Railroad Depot at the Museum.

Regular Hours are Thursday-Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m. The museum holds an annual fundraising benefit in September, the Charles Goodnight Chuckwagon Cookoff.
