TED JONES TRAIL
The Ted Jones Trail is a 2.2 mile multi-use paved path that
connects the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) to downtown
Ferguson. It is roughly parallel to Florissant Road, offering a
peaceful tree-lined alternative. The Trail runs through a 392-foot
tunnel below I-70, about half a mile from UMSL. The tunnel is
decorated with a 3-D mural created by local artists and high-school
students. This trail is part of the longer North County
Bikeway, which continues on-road beyond the Ted Jones Trail for
10.4 miles.
MR. JONES BIX BOX GEOCACHE
This cache is a large lock-top plastic container. It's
very close to the edge of the trail but you will have to walk a few
steps into the undergrowth next to the trail. No bushwacking
in the winter but maybe a little bit in the summer. I've
filled this one with lots of fun stuff for the kids and a
trackable. Please don't take the pencil! This one is
less than a quarter mile from the south end of the trail.
Parking is next to the trail on Woodstock or in UMSL parking lot at
the south end of the trail.
Try biking around Ferguson! Here's
a good map of all the bike trails in the St. Louis area
Please look for my other geocaches in wonderful Ferguson
Parks. Geocaches are allowed in St. Louis County
Parks with no prior approval.
FTF Congrats to SHMama!
