One Shekel Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

shurstrike: I revisited the site and the surrounding site has been cleared to the extent that searching can no longer be done discreetly. Add to that the cache having gone missing way too many times (I'm thinking squirrels are to blame), a cache in this location is no longer viable so I am going to archive this one. If no others pop up in the area, I may revisit this area in the future as it's a great place to cache.

Geocache Description:

One Shekel.

Perhaps an odd name for a geocache. The name has absolutely nothing to do with the cache itself, nor is it a hint in any way. While I was looking for the ideal spot to locate the cache, I looked down and saw a dirty and tarnished penny laying at my feet, almost entirely buried by years of dirt. I wiggled it free and immediately knew it wasn't a penny by its differing thickness and weight. When I got back to the office I cleaned it off and realized that it was an Israeli One Shekel coin. Never have I found one before, so I named the cache "One Shekel".

If you've never been to this area, it's quite deceiving if you're merely using satellite imagery to locate it. It's not "difficult" to maneuver, but it's certainly not at the same elevation as the adjacent sidewalk which bounds the park.

One other thing to keep in mind is that the muggle activity is directly proportional to the depth of snow on the ground, and the more recent that the snow has accumulated, the greater the chance for high muggle activity.

I'm not sure if this is referred to as a nano or a micro, but it certainly is small. Please replace cache exactly as found. The log has a small wire assembly used to help remove from cache. Please reassemble as found to help the next hunters. Thanks.
