Geocache Description:

I grew up in the area and have seen lots of changes and growth over the years. Back to a time when the Enchanted Forest was a place for kids to enjoy (not just a sign in a shopping center), the Forest Diner was the ONLY diner in the lot and Chatham Mall was still a mall (small- but still a mall). The mall was anchored by K-mart and Caldor, with retail stores throughout the interior. No big food court or fountains, no multi-level department stores or movie theaters. A few of the old mall tenants still survive (Radio Shack, The Dug Out and Music and Arts center) but have been relocated to a new building in another portion of the lot. Some are just distant memories (The Wild Dog, Pappy's Pizza and Flickers). Do you remember the mall from back in the day??? Let me know in your log. The placement of this cache is close to where the rear doors of the mall were located. This is a log only C&D in a typical location. This area is busy at times so please use stealth.
