Here you are looking for a gallon plastic container. It is covered with camo tape. I placed several pins, wooden nickels, and personalized items that I have collected over the year in this cache. There is also a travel bug in it waiting on somebody to take it somewhere else!
The cache is just beyond some thick brush and briars. I entered the woods via the only good trail I could find.
I love cemetery caches. It allows me to combine geocaching and wandering around cemeteries into one fun outing. When I go to a graveyard I look for Confederate soldiers, World War I veterans, any other veteran that paid the ultimate price for this country. I also like to look for the earliest settlers to the area. I log the Confederate veterans at my Graves of Confederate Soldiers Blog (visit link) Someday I hope to write about all of the other stories I encounter on these trips.
The Candler Cemetery overlooks Calhoun. I understand it was the site of the Candler Farm in the early 1800’s. There are some very interesting tombstones in this cemetery. Check out my blog (visit link) to see the results of an early railroad accident in Calhoun.
Remember that this is a daylight to dusk cache.
Jan 1, 2013: Changed cache container today and changed location a few feet.
