The Challenge to this...
...will be what you will need in order to qualify.
Congrats to Brummelbear on the FTF with 501 consecutive
days with finds from 07/30/2009 to 12/12/2010
"It's like pulling teeth"...
...was a favorite phrase of my grandmother who thought that anything I didn't want to do, or found to be extremely difficult, was like getting a tooth pulled. Very difficult and hard-to-do. Not impossible, but just more-challenging than normal.
Well, Geocaching goals or achievements can sometimes be like that too.
If you have a goal or achievement in mind, you have to sometimes push yourself to get there and sometimes its almost like getting a tooth pulled.... Or worse.
March 10th, 2012 marked my 366th consecutive day of having a streak of at least one "found" or "attended" log-per-day including the unusual "Leap Day" 2012 of February 29th...that only comes along every four years.
Since I'm now well past that point (currently over 400 days now), I thought it would be fun to see whom else has a streak of at least 365-days (or more) of getting at least one cache-log-per-day.
It's fairly easy to check to see if you've accomplished this, as Groundspeak has the consecutive-days-streak in your profile page. You'd probably know if you have, as you would've logged at least one "found" or "attended" every day for at least a year.
** The Challenge **
You do NOT have to remove any teeth for this challenge.
This is a Geocaching Challenge, not a dental one.
You must have had at least one "found/attended" log every day consecutively for at LEAST 365-days-in-a-row to be able to log this cache.
This does NOT mean you have to have done this recently. ANY time in Geocaching history will qualify since May 3, 2000 to present. But in order to log this challenge as found, you have to have already accomplished this goal. PRE-qualification does not count. You will have to wait until they've completed at least 365 days before logging this cache.
You MUST be able to show it via your profile page's Stats section that every member has.
If you're not sure where to find that information for your own account, it's here in the "Statistics" tab (far right side) under "Your Caching Chronology":
http://www.geocaching.com/profile/
This means, you do NOT have to provide a bookmark list or screenshot (unless you'd like to, of course) but you only have to be able to have your Profile Page available to show "longest streak" as shown here:

NO exceptions to this.
365 days (or more): YES ~ 364 days, NO.
Cache-types that qualify:
Traditional Cache
Unknown Cache
Multi-Cache
Event Cache
Earthcache
Virtual Cache
Letterbox Hybrid
Groundspeak HQ
Cache In Trash Out Event
GPS Adventures Exhibit
Groundspeak Block Party
Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration
Locationless (Reverse) Cache
Lost and Found Event Cache
Mega-Event Cache
Project APE Cache
Webcam Cache
Wherigo Cache
ANY of these cache-types qualify, as long as it shows on the STATS page as part of your Streak that you have at least 365 days or more.
This portion of the Cachers Stats page is the qualifier.
If yours is not enabled, in order to qualify for this challenge,
you will need to ENABLE it here:
http://www.geocaching.com/my/statistics_edit.aspx
Under Basic Statistics Settings: "Caching Chronology" needs a Checkmark, then save.
If you DON'T qualify, please do not log this cache as your logs will be deleted. Sorry.
If you DO qualify, you now can add a 5-star difficulty Challenge to your accomplishments.
If not... what are you waiting for? :)
**PLEASE NOTE**
If you do not sign the log at the location to match that you actually found the physical container for this challenge, your logs will be removed. This should be no issue for most cachers as we all know that you must SIGN THE PHYSICAL LOG.
Congratulations to all those that have achieved this goal.
We are an interesting and elite group...
...and maybe a little cache-crazy too.
Enjoy!
