Geocache Description:

This cache is the 27th point on the Dartmoor Forest boundary, as established by the 1240 Perambulation. More details about the Perambulation can be found on the cache page for the Dartmoor Forest Bonus. On the front page of the logbook is an adjustment to be made to the Bonus co-ordinates, which you will need to find the Bonus.

Limsboro cairn is a Bronze Age cairn built around a small tor remnant, beside which stands the military flagpole. The panoramic views from here stretch all the way to Bodmin moor in the west, High Willhays and Yes Tor to the north. Fur Tor and Cut Hill lie eastwards, and Great Mis Tor dominates the southern skyline.

If doing this cache as a standalone, the closest parking is at the Baggator (waypoint below), and it is an easy uphill walk to the top of Lynch Tor. If doing the Perambulation as a route, the next point on is Wester Redlake Head. There is a lot of blanket bog on the ridge between these two caches, so good footwear is essential.

IMPORTANT: This cache lies within the Merrivale Range, please see the Dartmoor Firing Notices to see when the range is active.
