Geocache Description:

The Declaration of Independence is truly an amazing document. Yet in all our schooling it is just mentioned in passing it seems. We really need to take the time to read and contemplate what was written. Contemplate what these individuals were doing and pledging.

The Declaration is the Purpose Document, also referred to as the Charter Document coming before the Articles of Confederation (1781), and later the Constitution (1789), followed by the Bill of Rights(1791).
