The cache is not at the posted coordinates they are for parking.
This is #1 of 4 in this series of caches are located on some newly opened trails along the Mousum River in Kennebunk. There are many ways to access them but only one to start this series.
Go to the posted parking coordinates and walk to the trail head.
Once you are at the trail head you will need to have with you a flash light, and some extra batteries, to follow the fire tacked marked trail to the first cache location.
A cell phone in case of emergency is also advisable, as are good hiking boots and of course a pen since the cache does not contain one.
Remember that this cache is meant to be done at night.
Not saying that it can’t be done, but you will have difficulty if you attempt to locate this series of caches in the daytime!
Also be aware that this trail can be icy, snow covered, wet and muddy at times, and at the mount all of the above.
White markers take you to a cache; Orange markers are the start of the next cache. Once you find the forth cache Orange markers also lead you back to the trail out.
But just in case you get off the trail keep the cords for the trail head and parking handy if you need them.
