There are really giant squid, Architeuthis martensi, in the oceans that don't have to worry much about being eaten. Not so for the tiny squid, Architeuthis ittybittia. While squid are not normally found in fresh water these diminutive beasts have evolved to avoid being lunch by swimming up small creeks, and if the water gets too low they have been known to climb out, and hide nearby until the water returns.
NOTE: A "tool" may be necessary to open the camo to access the cache.
