Geocache Description:

I wonder whether you can see all three in one walk.
For a Platypus encounter you might want to look for them from the viewing platform.
This cache is for keen nature lovers who have not succeeded in spotting there any.
It is suggested that in the early dusk you stroll quietly yet attentively along Peterson Creek keeping an eye to the water’s surface.
Once you saw one or more of the cute duck billed animals you are encouraged to direct your spotlight into the canopy. Maybe you will see a Lumholtz Tree Kangaroo.
Don’t be too disappointed if you do not manage to detect either. There is still a treasure waiting for you some 450 m NNW which is by far easier to discover.
Watch out though! There is a huge Gecko - well camouflaged - keeping a close watch on the hidden hoard. Do under no circumstances spoil things with this cute buddy! Otherwise it will not let you find what you are desperately looking for.
You can find it at
S AB°A6.GDH’
E ACD°3C.BDF’. *
May be better to know “G” for that purpose stating how many venomous spurs a male Platypus has.
Have you read about a project which made all these observations on Peterson Creek possible that was started in 199H?
To be really sure you should also find the square root F of the sum of digits in the unbelievably high number of bends testing the driving skills on the steep section of the connection road built from Cairns to the Tablelands in the late 1920’s.
We do hope that you read the different information thoroughly before you went off for the walk.
Have a leisurely and muggle free stroll and surprisingly amazing spottings of both Platypi and Tree Kangaroos! If you get one, please let other Geocachers participate. Thus your photos will be highly appreciated.
Happy Hunting!

*) For historians and people who have done GC24HAV “CCC” in Yorkey’s Knob: BDF resembles the year of Rome’s founding.

By the way: To keep Peterson Creek clean, don't forget to bring a plastic bag along to collect all rubbish found for
