The church of St. Michaels's and All Angels has many interesting features but you do not need to go inside to solve puzzle. However you are very welcome to visit, the church is usually open between 10 am and dusk. There are guides and leaflets inside. Please sign visitor's book (and could put geo after name as well ). Remember to search for the hares/rabbits (look up) and monkey/ sheep gargoyle inside! There is an interesting "window" to see from inside. When standing just inside the main door ,keep facing forward as you came in, but step right and look up towards the change of direction of the wall/ roof. There is a light there and nearby is a carved "window". Now go into the main body of the church and look for it on the other side??(Due to extensions and change of roof pitch ) Outside there are sundial areas to see on the south wall around the main door and two gnomens ( the 'post' bit of a sundial ) higher up. You can also find a very old cross on the north side, the base being much older then the cross itself. Normally parking around church , services ( please join in ) on Sunday morning and some evenings. The nearby St Michael's Hall ( aka the church hut ) will also be a source of muggles including a Tuesday evening when my tap dancing class is held ! The annual Truck music festival is held near here @ end of July  so area will be very busy around then. Also diagonally across from the church is Priory cottages ( National Trust-open by written appointment on Thursday afternoons-interesting roof inside) Permission granted and aided and abetted by the previous Vicar - Colin . Thank you.
Church mice were said to be poor, because during the reformation even the candles that they would eat were removed so starving the mice ! Cache now almost like original after several disturbances !

4.Clue changed but same numbers as before. Steventon History Society have discovered a person, Harriet Jacobs who lived in Steventon for a short while as a Nanny to the daughter of Nathaniel Willis. They stayed in the vicarage, and she attended the church, found no sign of racism and gained a new access to her Christian faith. Harriet was an African-American abolitionist who was born into slavery. Her autobiography,"Incidents in the life of a slave girl" published in 1861 under the pseudonym of Linda Brent is now considered an American classic. Interesting reading.
