This is an event in cooperation with the Mitchell Community Public Library during National Library Week. The purpose is to acquaint muggles with geocaching and encourage the “newbie” to become more involved. A Power Point series will be used to discuss the beginnings of geocaching, what it involves, what is required to participate, GPS devices that are available, and some hints to help make the attendants more geocache savvy. A Question and Answer period will follow. This is open to those that have never participated as well as experienced geocachers, so there will be an opportunity to talk with other local geocachers. If time permits, an actual search for nearby geocaches will take place.
Seating is limited, so log early. First come, first served. Experienced geocachers are encouraged to join in and share your expertise. Please bring a GPS unit with you.
The event will take place in the meeting room in the basement level of the library and will last from 6:00 PM until approximately 7:30 PM.
