First gravel, then dirt roads will take you to this old stone house ruin that was once the stagecoach stop between Phoenix and Tucson. From Hwy 238, go S on 83rd (just west of milepost 33) then W on Shumacher Rd, then S on 99th. Watch out for desert critters. 1st time find gets a buck to help cover gas. Please return exactly as found with camo.
Around 1870 this stagecoach stone house was built along with stables and other amenities as the stop between Phoenix and Tucson and today just the stone house ruin remains. We have great friends that live nearby who also love geocaching, but they can't get any internet reception this far out in the boonies, so sometimes we pick them up and take them for a cache run. Originally, our family was out jeeping the day after Christmas and decided to place a Christmas TuneTime cache here. A few months later it was muggled, and this is a smaller, more out-of-the-way version that probably won't ever be seen accept by geocachers looking for it.
