Geocache Description:

Welcome to another of our dog walks. We have called this one Ruby as we have a significant wedding anniversary coming up in February!

Our ‘home patch’ in the Holme Valley is becoming saturated with caches so we have moved slightly further afield to a walk which our dogs enjoy. It has fields, woods, streams and, when the weather’s not so good, plenty of mud. It is mainly on footpaths and tracks with all stiles being dog friendly. What more does a dog need?
It is a series of 14 caches plus a bonus taking a circular route to the south of Upper Cumberworth. There are some good views along the way.
The walk on its own takes about an hour so with caching as well could take 2-3.
Please be aware there may be stock in some of the fields.
Please bring a pen/pencil and note book as some of the caches only contain a log.
None of the caches are hidden in walls.
You will need to collect the Letter/Numbers which are in some caches - printed on the lids and logs – for the bonus cache.
Parking is available roadside in Carr Hill Road.

Please park considerately as local residents have expressed concern at the grass verge getting cut up.
