The Cladda is an area outside
Ballybofey/Stranorlar where the local community came together a few
years ago to provide an area for recreation and pleasure.
The area is now an outstanding amenity for the public with a
beautiful picnic area where families and children have a nice large
area to explore. There is a very pretty forest walk with many
interesting features and nice seating areas to relax and enjoy the
natural beauty of the area.
The CLADDA committee run events through the year with walking
festivals and the now famous "wacky soapbox races" each May. More

GETTING THERE
From Ballybofey/Stranorlar you follow signs for the
Golf club, the turn off coordinates are provided. There is also a
turn off from the Killygordon direction and once again the turn off
coordinates are provided. There is lots of parking space at the
public picnic area and the coordinates for this parking area are
listed for your reference.
THE CACHE
The cache is a 500ml tab lock box containing the log book,
pencils/sharpener, and a few trading items. It also contains a
first to find gift. It is also the home cache for the travel bug
TB4K3RN who's mission is to travel to all
the counties in Ireland and return home to this cache, please help
it on its way if you can. The spoiler picture shows the location of
the cache. Please place it back as found and conceal it properly as
this area is busy with the general public throughout the
year.
