Opening Day: May 5, 1871
Closing Day: September 26, 1871
Capacity: 300-500

Agricultural Society Fair Grounds was a fairground on the west side of Rockford, Illinois. It was used as a baseball field by the Rockford Forest Citys baseball club of the National Association during the 1871 season. It was considered a major league ballpark back in those days.

The Forest Citys only played 6 home games at this field during the 1871 season, winning 2 of them. Third base was on a hill, making the run to home plate all downhill. There were so many trees around this park, foul territory was reduced to a few feet. The stands were just planks of wood on supports.

The star of the team that year was Cap Anson, who hit .325 for the Forest Citys and would go on to become the player-manager of the Chicago White Stockings for over 20 seasons. Anson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1939.
