Geocache Description:

Camoflaged nano.

This is one of a series of 14 caches between the villages of Kelvedon, Messing and Inworth. The trail takes you through farmland and country lanes; please keep to the public footpaths and close all the gates behind you. If you complete the full round the trail is approximately 6 miles long.

Messing was known as Maesa's settlement and Mething in the past and is close by a site called The Rampart which, according to legend, is where Boudica Queen of the Icini was defeated by the Romans. Once referred to as 'the land of slaughter' it is now a peaceful pretty village.

There is parking in Kelvedon village near the entry point onto the trail which starts at the footpath waypoint for #1. Please note there are parking restrictions during weekday mornings; pay-and-display parking is available in the station carpark.
