Geocache Description:


It does it by an opening that the people whom I promoted after the war from Karafuto did business here. It is the kitchen of the Otaru citizen. Kamaboko-shaped buildings line up from National highway No. 5 to the mountain side for celebrity as "the market which there is on a river", and a tenement house-like, more than 25 in that shops in total link the eaves.
The cache is only a log sheet, please bring a pen.

戦後、樺太などから引きあげてきた人々がここで商いをしたのが始まり。
小樽市民の台所として今も健在だ。「川の上にある市場」としても有名で、かまぼこの形をした建物が国道５号線から山側へ並び、その中に合計25軒余りの店が長屋風に軒を連ねる。店頭に並ぶ魚はどれも活きのいいものばかりです。
