Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a series of small capsules whose placements are designed to guide you to several interesting if not unique, features of Sarnia's Lower West Side (LWS).

A short distance from here is where people used to board the walk-on ferry that provided transportation to and from downtown Port Huron, Michigan. This spot also provides an excellent lookout over the St. Clair River and the City of Port Huron on it's opposite shore. As one can see from the picture above, the surrounding buildings have changed considerably over time. Pay close attention to the two light standards in the boulevard on the Hill. They are believed to be the last remaining original street lighting fixtures in the city.

Please byop, mark your ID and the date in the log and replace the cache as found. Thanks for visiting the LWS of Sarnia; we trust you've enjoyed the view.
