Fort Griffin periodically has star-gazing parties. Several volunteers bring their high-powered telescopes and let the public look at different stars, galaxies, and planets. This Historic Site has one of the lowest light pollution in Texas-ideal for any astronomer, young or old, experienced or otherwise. Make sure that you pay park fees before looking for this cache! Park officials are watching to see if geocachers will abide by the historic site rules and regulations, so please leave a good impression by not littering and paying the fee!
