Park at the suggested coords and walk north on Neilson Rd until you see the gravel road on your left. Follow this uphill and turn right on the Tenderfoot Trail. Please respect this property and do NOT climb on the spring house. Also, please rehide the cache exactly as you found it, and be sure to give it some good camo so that other geocachers may have the same experience in finding it.
In all the time I've been visiting Lusscroft Farm, I had never taken this path to discover the unique structure at its terminus. I guess the Lodge always pulled me in the other direction. When Rangr Dave and I hid this cache on a rainy day, we had to be careful so as to avoid stepping on little red efts and multitudes of millipedes along the trail. I hope you enjoy your adventure, too - Happy Caching!
The Lusscroft Farm trail network is over 5 miles long, and winds through grassland, hardwood forest, and wetland habitats. There are trails for all hikers, from beginner to advanced. Lusscroft Farm has a significant agricultural history, unique geologic features, was the Beemerville 4-H Youth Camp from 1971-1996, and hosts year-round educational activities such as Maple "Sugar'n," nature walks, and equine trail rides.
