The May Logan Healthy Living Centre opened it's doors on the 27th September 1999 - dedicated to improving the health, wellbeing and quality of life for local people. The centre is named after Lillian May Logan. Her involvement and commitment to the local community reflected the hopes for the centre so it seemed a fitting tribute to name it after her. She was a senior warden in the civil defence during the war years, was well known for her auntie Margaret's children's column in the Bootle Times and founded the Bootle carnival, which ran for 20 years. She received an MBE in the Jubilee year of 1977 for services to the community; she died on 15th December 1995 and was laid to rest in Bootle Cemetry.
This is a magnetic nano cache. It is accessible for wheelchair users and is accessible from the street so there is no problem if the centre car park is locked. This is a busy road so a great deal of stealth is required in order to not be muggled! Also watch out for muggles looking out of the café window!
