My Dad's Dog Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

gvnagei: Nothing to be found. I feel that this area has been staked out by hunters or some muggle who likes to take tupperware. It's time to retire this cache. Hopefully another cache can be placed in a new hiding spot.

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Dedicated to Roxie, the blueberry-pickin', English Springer Spaniel, who loved to eat the left-over berries off the bushes as we picked them. This area was one of our favorite blueberry picking areas.

Roxie was a great dog that touched our lives. She was my dad's constant companion and was loved by all. I am happy to dedicate this cache to her. She is deserving of immortalization.

This is a large rubbermaid tub. Careful on the slope. If you go down too far, you'll end up at the waters edge.

PLEASE use the Ziploc Baggies!!! I'm trying to introduce a rule of thumb for the longevity of my and other caches. Putting lots of baggies in a cache is important. Please put all items in a baggie (whether you think it needs it or not (once it gets moist, mold may ensue)). The LOG BOOK should be double bagged with the Pen and Pencil in the outer bag (to prevent poking holes in the bag with the log book). This really helps to keep the contents dry. Even though a container may be sealed when placed, sometimes things may make tiny holes in the container, condensation is the real enemy, and often occurs whether there are holes or not. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMPLIANCE!
