Situated within Devilla Forest, near Prae Brae, are several stone circular structures, about three in height and four feet in width with an opening.
At first i thought they may have been for trapping animals.
On futher research they might have something to do with the Admiralty Underwater Explosion Research
Establishment, this complex opened in 1943 and is only about a half of mile north from here next the devil wood cache and seems to fit in well with my other cache Take Cover about 1100ft from here.
The Admiralty was under the control of the Rosyth Naval Base. The complex was used mainly to test the effects of explosive ordnance on warships, and a decommissioned vessel was moored in the River Forth between Grangemouth and Crombie Point for this purpose.
The buildings at Prae Brae were used to store explosives and it is likely that at least one underground chamber still exits within the blast wall area.
In 1946, the site was renamed the Naval Construction Research establishment closing in 1949 when the unit was relocated to Dunfermline.
It any cacher know different it will update this page but i cant find anything on these strange circles.
There is no path to the circles so terrain it quite tough .
You might want to come in from the waypoint or from the Take Cover cache but terrain is just as bad.
