How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This is an event primarily for kayakers and canoeists.

Event date is Saturday June 9th, 2012, 8:30am

White River Canoe Company in Noblesville will be our meeting point. They run a livery from which you can rent a kayak, or if you have your own, they will transport it to our launch point.

We will meet at the livery/parking location at 17180 River Avenue in Noblesville at 8:30am. The office is in a little ranch style house as you pull into the property, and the parking area is behind the house. Everyone will stop at the office to check-in before proceeding to the parking lot. We will assemble beside the White River Canoe Company map/sign directly in front of the office and check-off Waiver Forms by-participant. Our group will then get back in our cars and park in the gravel lot behind the house. We’ll load the shuttle vans or bus in the parking lot, and be taken to the launch site at the Rusty Oar property. The staff will fit everyone with life jackets and provide a short speech on safety, navigating the river safely, and landmarks to recognize as you’re nearing the end of your trip. They will help us launch, and we'll be on our way. Our trip will end at the livery landing at the River Avenue facility. We will take our life jackets, paddles, and seat cushions up our decks/stairs and deposit them on the stage at the top of the stairs, and we will find ourselves in the parking lot with our cars.

I need you to show with cash (exact amount for your party please) and a signed waiver at 8:30am, so I can collect the monies and pay for our group.

• Group Rates for Kayaks:
o 12+ people = $21.40 per person
o Livery Service for those who bring their own canoes/kayaks: $10.70

I will be paying one lump sum and collecting the money to pay. I do not want to have to make change.

They DO NOT except checks.

They do have a limited number of tandems. Pricing is per person.
