A tree related cache is hidden at Forbes Holes, Erewash Borough's first Local Nature Reserve which opened in 1991. It has its own car park.
A footpath runs round the outside of this nature reserve, full of trees and a lake. Many birds use the old trees in the willow carr as a nesting site. Sycamore, Oak, Ash and Alder dominate the dry woodland. Shrubs include Hawthorn, Elder and Guelder Rose, providing berries throughout the winter for Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Song Thrush and Redwing.
Surrounded by trees this Harry Potter themed cache blends in and can only hold a log book so please bring a pen to sign. It belongs on the Quidditch pitch.
