Smiley Quest - What's The Score? Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

halemeister: I hate to archive this whole series, but the trail these caches were on has changed so much since I placed them almost 2 years ago. I went out to do some maintenance on the whole series and found many of the locations are just impossible to get to. I cannot expect my fellow cachers to endure what I had to go through today in order to get the caches.

Thanks to everyone who had fun with the puzzles and earning the smileys along the smiley quest trail!

Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Smiley Quest. Some, or all of the caches in this series may contain the following requirements in order for you to get to GZ - Climb embankments, go down slopes, or do some bushwhacking. The area can get a little muddy at times, so be prepared for that as well. Bushwhacking was very minimal when I placed the caches, but that could change in the summer months.

I suggest solving all the puzzles within the series before going out and hunting them. Have fun!

This cache is not at the posted coordinates. You'll have to solve the puzzle in order to obtain the correct coords. This cache's difficulty rating comes from a combination of the puzzle and the hide.

To solve this puzzle, all you have to do is calculate what the score is for each letter and then place that number into the following formula: N42 AB.CDE W089 FG.HIJ

A = In basketball: 3 half court shots minus 3 slam dunks minus 2 free throws.
B = In football: A touchdown plus the extra point kick.
C = In football: A touchdown minus a safety minus a safety.
D = In hockey: 3 hat tricks.
E = In golf: Getting a "bogey" on a hole.
F = In basketball: 11 free throws minus 5 lay ups.
G = In football: A touchdown plus the conversion attempt.
H = In tennis: The number that is called when the player scores his/her first point minus a touchdown in football, minus a half court shot in basketball, minus 4 goals in soccer.
I = In football: A safety plus a PAT.
J = In bowling: How many pins you have standing if you get a 7-10 split.
