Geocache Description:

The young man working on his project here at the Queen City Barbeque Pit has finally managed to complete the task. Now that he has been awarded the Eagle Scout rank, I am changing the name of the cache to continue the series of Troop 90 Eagle Scout caches.

Just a bit to the east of the GZ is an old and somewhat forgotten barbeque pit; once part of the Queen City Park. An effort by PARA is ongoing to change the look of this area with trails covered in crushed stone, park benches along the trail sides and parking available at the trail heads.

Future work in this area should also include 3 Eagle Scout projects. One is to clear the area around the barbeque pit of the trees, vines and silt; a second is to establish a wildflower plot under the power line right-of-way; the third to continue the paths through these woods.

When one of these projects is completed, then the name of this cache will be changed accordingly.
