OLD SCHOOL can refer to anything that is from an earlier era. It is normally looked upon with high regard and respect.It can be used to refer to music, clothing, language, or education. I am sure you have heard the saying "They are from the Old School".
Today it is referring to education. Basic education in the Old School meant learning reading, writing, and arithmetic. In other words you learned your ABC's and your numbers. No computers or calulators.
Another thing from the Old School was the Big Chief Tablet.The Big Chief tablet was a popular writing notebook for several generations of young children in the United States. It featured widely spaced lines, easier to write in for those learning to write.
So I am thinking to solve this puzzle you might want to get out the Big Chief Tablet and a lead pencil with a good earser.
