Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the above co-ordinates. The cache is a standard camouflaged clip lock box.
To obtain the co-ordinates of the cache you will have to take a walk around Cenarth and find the answers to some questions. The answers to the questions are all numbers and will correspond to the letters at the beginning of the question.

A popular tourist village, Cenarth has a foot in two counties which are connected by the bridge crossing the river Teify. This was built in 1788 and features a series of circular holes which reduce the weight of the structure while maintaining its strength. These holes also help to relieve the water pressure on the bridge when the river is in full flood. In the autumn you may be lucky and see salmon leaping the falls to swim upstream to spawn.
Cenarth is also home to the National Coracle Centre, sited at the 17th century Flour Mill. The mill wheel featured in a TV commercial for a well known brand of hair shampoo in 1985. There are many places to eat in Cenarth, whether you want a pot of tea or a meal, and many gift shops. There are also picnic areas and seats where one can just sit and watch the river.

Although there is a 20mph speed restriction in the village, the bridge is single track and narrow with no pavement so care must be taken when crossing, especially with little geos.

Now, let’s take a little walk!

Question A. N52° 02.690 W004° 31.422 The end of this building has a large round indentation on the wall beneath the bell tower. How many small circular windows (some covered with wire) are there in this?

Question B. N52° 02.753 W004° 31.534 How many metal or stone salmon can be seen on or around this building?

Question C. N52°02.754 W004° 31.494 In what year did ‘Tight Lines’ pass away. 199_?

Question D. N52° 02.755 W004° 31.608 How many coracles can be seen in the window to the left of the door of this building?

Question E. N52° 02.739 W004° 31.527 How many circular ‘holes’ are there in the bridge?

Question F. N52° 02.706 W004° 31.567 It is reputed that the waters of this well have healing properties. How many wooden posts are there around the structure?

Question G. N52° 02.699 W004° 31.609 There is a house near here with salmon plaques on the railings. How many upstairs windows are on the front of the house?

Using the answers to the questions you can work out the following co-ordinates:

The Cache: N52° 02.(G+D) (E+G)(G+A) W004° 32.(A+B-F) (A+D) (G+B)

Parking for the cache: N52° 02.G G B W004° 32.(E+D-G) C D

The GZ is within a mile of the village but the road is bendy and sometimes quite busy and there are no pavements. The path to the cache is a little muddy in wet weather.

This cache is placed with the kind permission of the Forestry Commission Wales.

Ok, go find the cache. Good luck!

***Congratulations to CASTLE-HUNTERS on being the First TO Find. Also apologies for thinking someone else got there before them***
